40ft Edwardian Saloon Launch built c.1904 by Alfred Burgoine of Kingston-on-Thames

“Moe” is a wonderful Edwardian bustle stern saloon launch designed by Linton Hope and built by the renowned boatbuilder Alfred Burgoine of Kingston-on-Thames circa 1904.

Maintained by ourselves for over 40 years, with only one change of ownership during that time, “Moe” has been upgraded in recent years with the installation of:- Eberspacher hydronic heating system; running hot water; 2 burner gas hob with oven; electrically powered refridgerator; pump out toilet; forward canopy with side curtains for all weather cruising; two bespoke varnished mahogany dining tables for saloon and forward cockpit; cushions for all seating covered in ‘lagoon’ soft green leather; carpet and curtains for saloon; and smart teak floor gratings to fore and aft cockpits.

During the 1970’s this launch appeared in the BBC production of ‘Three men in a Boat’. In our opinion “Moe” is a wonderfully sociable boat offering much scope for entertaining in great style.

Further, she represents a rarely available, unique piece of River Thames history.
