Details

“Frantic” was built on St Marys, Isles of Scilly, in the mid 1950’s by the Scillonian boat builder R Phillips.

She was his second boat and he went on to build many boats of differing designs for the local market.

A few years later the current owner’s grandfather purchased the boat and commissioned Phillips to upgrade her to look more like the Rivas of the time, with windscreen and chromed deck fittings being sourced from Italy.

“Frantic” remained in their family until the early 1970’s and the owner has fond memories of exciting excursions as a young boy around the Island.

The boat was not see on the water from the late 1970’s until she was found by the current owner in a farmer’s field in 1993.  She was in a very poor state, however for nostalgic reasons her owner purchased her and brought her to Peter Freebody & Co where she underwent extensive restoration, completed in 2001, including the installation of a new Sport Pac Marine Power V6 engine, and she was able to be enjoyed once more.

She remains in excellent order and is for sale complete with purpose built 4 wheel road trailer.
