'SUNDOT' - 25ft Andrews Whippet launch built 1953, hull no 353

Sundot is a 25ft Andrews Whippet launch. Built during the 1950's, she has been enjoyed by her present owners for many years here on the Thames.

During 2001 she was converted to electric propulsion with the installation of inboard electric motor, lead acid batteries and an on board charger. Her batteries, which are configured in pairs - fore and aft - were renewed in 2022 and 2024 respectively.

Further works carried out have included new bottom plys in 2010, and reconfiguration to her cockpit seating with new lounge style bench seat at helm with shelf to rear face of same.

Sundot's inventory includes: upholstery for all seating covered in burgundy Linara fabric; cockpit carpet in burgundy with bound edges; overall cover in Sunbrella canvas, supplied new in 2025, supported on stainless steel hoops; convertible canopy; paddle; boathook; ensign & staff; mooring lines & fenders.
