Details
Riva Olympic Tina was built in 1973, bearing hull no. 186.
Having initially been delivered to the UK from new, Tina first arrived with us in 1997 for paint and varnish works. In 2001 a replacement engine block was fitted, and in 2010 her deck plys and seat coverings were renewed. During the intervening years Tina was enjoyed in Ireland and Ibiza, before returning to us in 2018, since when she has remained under our care. At this time, a rudder sleeve was fitted to enable cruising at slower speeds for River Thames use. During 2021 a full re varnish of her exterior was carried out.
Tina's inventory includes: blue Riva overall cover; convertible canopy; full upholstery including sunbathing mattress; ski pole; 2 x paddles; boathook; bathing ladder; anchor with chain/rope; 2 x mooring lines; 4 x fenders; 1 x Riva cradle; and 1 x road trailer supplied new in 2010.
With production spanning between 1969 and 1983, the Olympic model was the last of the single engined wooden hulled models to be built by Riva, and combines sleek Italian styling with versatile design, making this particular model equally suited for sociable cruising with friends, a spot of sunbathing or water-skiing.
