Millpond Moorings
Within the safe, secure and tranquil setting of the boatyard millpool moorings, are possibly the largest number of classic wooden launches in any one place on the Thames. Slipper launches sit alongside electric canoes, steam launches, classic cabin cruisers and elegant day launches.
Readying and re-fuelling
Upon request, launches can be made ready for use by arrangement, with covers removed, fuel tanks topped up, decks and cockpits polished and made ship shape ready for a day on the river.
Hard standing
Some launches are kept ashore on the hard standing and launched for use. This suits certain styles of launch.
Over wintering
The hard standing storage area comes into its own at the end of each season when many of the boats are craned out, chocked and wrapped up in hibernation for the winter.
